Metabolism
Are you doing an intense work out
for ages and taking a diet but still you are unable to increase or reduce
weight?
You still can't see the much difference in your body comparing with
compeers it might be due to your metabolism.
It is an engine in our body that
burns the calories like the engine of the vehicle burns the petrol or diesel. The
metabolism rate is the rate at which your body burns calories. The metabolism
rate is either slow or fast or normal which depending upon the body of an individual.
It is important to know that if calories are not burned, the body cannot use
them for energy and to repair tissues. They end up as getting stored in our
body as fat, you should know your metabolism rate and which kind of metabolism rate
your body needs- slow or fast.
Slow metabolism is a BIG NO-NO,
it is not at all good for anyone it means your body is not burning calories. It
directly implies that you are eating food but the calories are not burning
which results in fat or weight gain or you can say those people who are
overweight their metabolism is slow that their body is unable to burn that
amount of calories they are consuming. Similarly, people who are thin their
metabolism is fast that means their process of burning calories is fast.
FAST METABOLISM
Having a high metabolism means
your body burns energy from food at a faster rate than your peers and you are
unable to gain weight easily. If you feel the same then calculate your BMR and
add BMR value with 500-1000 calories per day that will be your daily intake.
For example: If your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is 2000
then you need to increase the intake by 500-1000 calories per day which means
you need to take 2500-3000 calories per day.
- Increase your intake- At least take the 5 meals in a day and take a protein-rich diet.
- Keep your cardio at minimal.
- Do your workout 4 times a week.
SLOW METABOLISM
Having a low metabolism means
your body burns energy from food at a lower or slower rate and you gain weight
quickly.
How you will know
that you have a slow metabolism rate?
- It is easier for you to gain weight rather than losing.
- You cannot lose weight no matter how much you exercise.
- Heels are cracked and dry.
- Losing a lot of hair.
- You have terrible afternoon sugar cravings.
SOLUTION: BURN MORE EAT LESS
Calculate your
BMR and decrease the value of BMR by 500-800 calories per day. For example, if
the value of your BMR is 2000 then decrease the daily intake by 500-800
calories that will be 1200-1500 calories
which is your daily consumption calories.
1.
Burn extra 500-1000 calories.
2.
Eat-in every 3 hr but in low quantity.
3.
Drink at least 3 liters of water
4.
Increase cardio
5.
Workout 6 times in a wk.
Remember not eating does not decrease the metabolism
it simply stops your metabolism even it goes slower. If you need to increase
metabolism then take small meals at regular intervals and have lots of water.
So, now adjust your metabolism rate according to your body
by making small changes in your lifestyle, diet and exercise routine.
